(i tried to bold interesting parts but this post by definition is kinda tl;dr. i mostly just bolded quotes from/parts about zac haha).

The Year's Most Talked About Weddings

It was a charmed wedding, indeed, when Alyssa Milano (clad in a custom Vera Wang gown and Maria Elena headpiece) said "I do" to agent David Bugliari at his family's New Jersey estate on Aug. 15. Dinner was served family-style on farmhouse tables because, as Milano says, "My Italian family still eats Sunday dinner together every week. We wanted to capture the same feeling with people passing around beautiful bowls of food and talking and laughing."

Not sure if this has been asked already--I don't think that it has.

How many people are on your holiday shopping list? How many do you have checked off so far?

I have 24 people on the list and I've checked off five. I have a long way to go in the next week and a half. O.O

Kellan Lutz is the new Marky Mark for Calvin Klein
[info]yosupamanda wrote in [info]ohnotheydidnt

Kellan Lutz has been hired to fill some very big underwear at Calvin Klein.

Fox411.com has learned exclusively that the "New Moon" hunk has been signed to a modeling contract with the fashion giant, and will be featured in a very familiar ad campaign.

"He’s going to be their new Mark Wahlberg," the insider told Fox411.com. "Kellan has been signed to Calvin Klein for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines."

That’s right, 17 years later after his ripped abs ad campaign, Marky Mark finally has a worthy stomach-muscled successor.

Cookie Cutters

Something about making holiday cookies means you whip out those beloved cookie cutters. I, however, only know of making sugar cookies with my cookie cutters. And I'm bored of that. What other recipes work well with cookie cutters?

For Christmas this year I'm baking treats for my friends. Now two of my friends requested cookies and I'm not much of a cookie baker.

Does anyone have any good peanut butter cookie or chocolate chip cookie recipes?

I'm just at a loss haha

"True Blood" cast keeps growing

"True Blood" Exclusive: Meet Eric's new plaything

True Blood is giving Eric a new toy.

Actress-model Natasha Alam (The Bold and the Beautiful) is joining the season 3 cast in the potentially recurring role of Yvetta, Eric’s new dancer at Fangtasia, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Eric engages in a sexual relationship with his newest employee, which, if I’m not mistaken, is a flagrant violation of Fangtasia’s super-strict sexual harassment policy. (I made a funny.)

In other True Blood casting news, character actor Gregg Daniel (NYPD Blue, Desperate Housewives) has been tapped to play Reverend Daniels. Tara’s mom turns to the Reverend for, um, comfort. (I made another funny.)

Cirque du Soleil announced Tuesday that its newest resident show, "Viva ELVIS," will begin preview performances Friday at the Aria Resort and Casino at CityCenter in Las Vegas. The show will premiere Feb. 19, 2010.

The show is described as "a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics and live music."

Guy Laliberte, founder of Cirque du Soleil, said, "'Viva ELVIS' showcases the raw energy and pure talent of Elvis and highlights the exhilaration and beauty of his music on a grand scale."

Nickelback: 'Band of the decade', according to Billboard
[info]seishin wrote in [info]ohnotheydidnt
Mods, I've checked the tags and calendar view, and couldnt find this posted...

Nickelback is the top group of the decade, according to Billboard magazine.

Rapper Eminem has been named the top artist of the decade, and 'N Sync garnered the title album of the decade for its bestselling No Strings Attached (2000).

Nickelback was the highest-ranking band of the decade, only finishing behind solo artists Eminem, 50 Cent, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Nelly and Usher, for overall impact and importance.

Despite a distinct lack of critical acclaim, the rock band formed in Hanna, Alberta, has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. In the last decade, it released The State (2001), Silver Side Up (2001), The Long Road (2003), All the Right Reasons (2005) and Dark Horse (2008), which has garnered them a 2010 Grammy nomination for best hard-rock performance for the track 'Burn It To The Ground'.

"We've just accepted that we're never going to be the critics' darlings, and we're OK with that," frontman Chad Kroeger told Billboard in 2007.

But it's not only music reporters who disagree with Billboard magazine's assertion.

Readers of the U.K.'s Word Magazine recently voted Nickelback the worst band in the world, with Kroeger and company locking down an impressive 20 per cent of the vote. Looks like not everyone is a fan of greasy, bleached hair and enlightening, philosophical song titles such as Something in Your Mouth and S.E.X.

Sample lyrics: "Maybe in the parking lot / Better bring your friend along / Better rock together / Than just one at a time / S is for the simplety / E is for the ecstasy / X is just to mark the spot / 'Cause that's the one you really want."

From top group of the decade to worst band in the world - only Nickelback could be so polarizing.

Why is it that hotels are always so warm? And yet invariably the rooms are furnished with beds replete with a thousand blankets and thick duvet. Please can you reveal yourselves to me, all those of you that are secret night-heat lovers. Is it really possible to sleep under a duvet when the room is 22 degrees Celsius (72F)? I need just a sheet at the very most at that temperature.
